The Spice Girls are officially over.

Today is a very sad day in the history of music. It's the official date where the Spice Girls split up for good. It took 10 years for this reunion to happen, and now they will never be on stage again (sadly). Well the tour was amazing, the greatest hits album is awesome & they are going to release a DVD of the show later this year. That means I'll be able to see the fashion show over and over and over... :)

Ok, well let's get to all the deets.

It was an emotional farewell, with Emma Bunton (Baby), Victoria Beckham (Posh), Melanie Brown (Scary), Geri Halliwell (Ginger) and Mel Chisholm (Sporty) gathering at for a group hug and individual embraces as the show went on.

For the first – and probably last – time Bunton, Brown and Beckham brought their children onstage near the end of the 95-minute concert. To the delight of the crowd, Beckham's youngest son, Cruz, wearing a "Posh Spice" T-shirt and red baseball cap, demonstrated some fledgling breakdance moves.

"I just got to say, as you know, this is the last night of the tour and we never dreamt we'd ever back together and be such a success and who knows if we'll ever get back together again," said Halliwell.

While the quintet delivered their "girl power," the near-capacity crowd delivered ear-ringing lung power as the Spice Girls closed their final performance with "Spice Up Your Life."

Awwww... It's really great that the tour ends with Toronto. It was voted Spice City after all. Maybe, in another 10 years, they will make a comeback. Lol, I'll be 30 and going to see a Spice Girls show! You just know they would still be great!

Now that the tour is over, the girls will be riding on the wave of spotlight it gave em. Here are some of their individual plans.

Halliwell is said to be planning a series of children's books that feature a young heroine, a venture that has fan Karen Kenny musing that Halliwell and the others feel it's time to carve out a new adult identity.

She predicted continued success for Beckham, but doubted the rail-thin celeb would continue with music. Beckham has declared fashion her real passion, and prefaced her Toronto farewell as a pop star with an afternoon appearance at Holt Renfrew in support of her eyewear and denim line, dVb.

After the tour, Brown, a.k.a. Scary Spice, will take on correspondent duties for the gossip TV show, "Access Hollywood." Melanie Chisholm, a.k.a. Sporty Spice, has been heavily promoting her solo singing career with side gigs along the tour route, while Bunton, a.k.a. Baby, has a newborn to look after.

And the girls posted a final message on their official blog.

    Hello...

Our time is up... we've come to the end of the road… there are tears of both sadness and joy. Look how far we've come!

Who would have thought that our reunion could have turned out to be this amazing? It just shows what can grow out of an exciting thought, an idea, a hope, a dream. Yes, our reunion tour is proof that dreams do come true.

We have been lucky enough to have shared it with the most loyal fans in the world. Ten years on, you came back still wanting more… and it looks like we made some new friends along the way. You have inspired and ignited us with each show, the 47 that we performed, each time was amazing and it is thanks to you.

So we look to the future with hope and imagination and let Girl Power live on through all of you as it will continue in us and the future generations to come.

We have learnt so much through you and through each other.

"Never give up on the good times always believe in the love you find."

We hate goodbyes but sadly the time has come to take our final bow so maybe our song says it best:

"Goodbye my friend, it's not the end… So glad we made it, time will never ever change it… "

    Mission Accomplished...

    Love

Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria
    xxxxx

At the end of every show, you see "Spice : Mission Accomplished" on the screen. Well from the pictures I took of both shows which I have posted, you probably saw it. Indeed, after selling millions of record, being the biggest band on the planet for a while, getting number 1's after number 1 hit singles, they truly have accomplished their mission!

Let's move on with the gossip.

Actually, it's Spice related. Victoria Beckham was at the Holt Renfrew Toronto to promote her line of jeans & eyewear yesterday.

First of all, she looks better when she smiles.
Second of all, I don't blame her for being freaked out. What kind of psycho went to like 10 of their concerts in different towns, then shows up at her women's jeans signing with all the tickets!!!! Lol, freaky. His crooked smile doesn't help either.

Here are the first pictures of Nicole Richie's baby on the cover of People Magazine hitting newsstands today.
I really find he looks like the father. More like Joel then Nicole that's for sure. Well he's a baby boy, so it's normal. Heh, she got paid reportedly a million dollar for these snap shots (that's still a million less then Christina). That's a lot of money for baby pictures!

It has been announced the Olsen twins will be releasing a coffee table book. One of their first products not aimed at teens.

They're set to publish their very first coffee table book called Influence. According to Mary-Kate, the book will feature creative minds that the twins feel reflect their generation saying, “Ashley and I interviewed the people who have inspired us, with the hope that they will inspire and teach others." Some of the featured artists include Christian Louboutin, Lauren Hutton, and, of course, unseen photos of the twins themselves.

Yeah, well I think it's a good strategic move on their part. Many of their original fans have been following them since Full House, i.e. 15 years ago. Guess what, I doubt many of them wanna buy some Size 0 MK sweat pants because they're "more of a MK then an A". They're older now. I'm anxious to see how this turns out.

Here are some videos of Heidi Montag (which we havn't heard of in a while strangely since her first video was released....) and Spencer Pratt doing some publicity stunt shopping on Robinson Boul.

Yeah, not staged at all. I love how they can disappear for a couple of weeks but when the time is right, they just reappear with as many paps as Britney following her. I'm sure Britney herself would like to be able to tip off the paps live that way.

And finally, here are some funny pictures of Rihanna bowling over the week.
That's not all. There is photographic evidence of Rihanna & Chris Brown being more then just friends (don't worry, it's not NSFW), which can be found on the New-York Post's Page Six's website. Scandal.
